I have been taking Lipitor for the past few days for my cholestrol problem which aggravted during the last month and a half. Initially I was reluctant to take it but the doctor assured me that I will be fine.
Sometimes I get a pain in my leg which is unexplained and sometimes a pain in my arms and back. This has been happening since 2 weeks and I think the medication I am taking is causing the trouble. Last edited by Andrila : 12-24-2005 at 09:57 AM. Reason: Content |

The reactions that you have suffered are some of the common side effects of Lipitor. Always remember to have any medication with some food and not on an empty stomah. Also take the Lipitor medication with two full glasses of water the next time you take. Hopefully everything will be fine the next time.

Lipitos is sued for controlling cholestrol isnt it. Well, every coin has two sides, and so the medicine comes with its side effects.
I hav heard that the side effects of Lipitor can be very serious sometimes so is the result of other cholestrol lowering drugs and medications. By limiting the production of cholesterol, Lipitor may be indirectly causing membrane degeneration in neural and muscle tissue. This fact was found by doctors from a famous university. So it is better to lower cholestrol thorugh adopting proper diet methods and relying less on drugs amd medications. |

Side effects are a package coming free for every medicine. But there are certain ways of keeping the side effects in control. Like for majority of medicines , they should be taken not on an empty stomach. Also some medicines have to be taken after breakfast or lunch or before breakfast or lunch. the key here is follow the instructions on the packet or follow the doctors instructions.
