Default Is the 0 calories on the soda can misleading?

I drank a lot of diet soda since the last two months and I have observed a 4 kgs gain in my weight. Is it a coincidence? Or is the soda responsible for my weight gain? Is the 0 calories on the soda can misleading?

I think that though it claims to be a 0 calorie drink it does contain some calories. I’m not so sure but what do others think about this?

Diet sodas contain artificial sweeteners which are not good for health. So I think that they can contribute in weight gain.

I read somewhere that the artificial sweetener increase carbohydrate cravings and hence you feel like eating more sweet things.

Well we should ask ourselves that what’s the use of drinking something that doesn’t contain sugar but which increases the carbohydrate craving within us?

It’s useless I think. You might end up gaining more weight.
