Hi nina,well the DASH diet stands for "Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension". data from Various studies show that such a dietary approach was very effective in bringing down high blood pressure. This diet plan suggest you to eat more of fruits,green leafy vegetables, and whole grain foods and less of total fat ,cholesterol and saturated fat.

Hello friend. dash diet is good approach for treating Hypertension, but don’t consider dash diet as any weight losing diet plan, dash diet is designed with a view to lower high blood pressure and not body weight and fat.
