Occasional midnight feasts are a treat for us, but excessive and uncontrollable night time nibbling is a curse for others. sufferers of the night eating syndrome(NES) have a lot of trouble getting to sleep, wake up several times and feel compelled to snack. continual lack of sleep, obesity and anxiety take their toll.ironically, this anxiety further fuels the condition compelling them to seek out"feel good" foods like crisps, cakes and chocolates.NES afftects nearly 1 million people in UK alone.

Pay attention to whether your desire to eat is due to true physical hunger or something else. It is not “bad” to eat late at night if you really are physically hungry. As long as you don’t overeat, the calories will be burned while you sleep. THINK about the foods you will be eating. Find out about portion sizes so you don’t over eat. And for better nutrition, keep a stash of fruit, whole grain cereal, low fat popcorn and other healthy snacks in your room.

Well, i believe that a possible solution may be to have a good breakfast, and since we are all on a diet - we may as well skip lunch, then have a good dinner. Thus, we would hardly feel hungry during the night! Thats plausible :)
Anywayz, its worth giving a second thought |

not only at midnight. eating at every moments is a bad habit. it accumulates fats in the body. if you are used to eating all the day then you should avoid eating chips and all that stuff. better stick to dry fruits and low calori foods
