Yes, there are. Well, these are just what I've and read. But I hope it helps. They say spices in food rev up metabolism. One important thing also is not to miss breakfast. Others say that when you work out, you should try alternating speed and intensity of your routine.

Increase your daily activities. Dont sit or lie down too much. Whenever you can, stand up or walk around. This is the least that you could do. Avoid using lift.

Increasing the muscular tissue increases the metabolic rate and this in turn can be achieved by exercising frequently.

Eating after exercising is good, as that's when your metabolism is highest. Working out with weights also increases your metabolism more than just a cardio workout or whatever. And drink lots of water.

Eat small portions 5 or 6 times a day: the more often you eat, the more often your body has to work to digest food and the faster your metabolism becomes.

spicy foods dont help at all actually
omega-3 fatty acids and green tea both give your metabolic rate a huge kickstart, try eating more of those in your diet and you should notice a difference for th first week or so until your body adjusts to them and the effects wear off

Get up in the morning and exercise before you do anything else. This will increase your metabolism. After exercise eat a light breakfast, this gives you metabolism something to keep it going. Maintain moderate activity during the day, don't just sit and watch tv or surf the net all day. Work in the yard, garden, lots of household chores will help maintain a steady metabolic rate all day.
