Yes this is again one of the risks among the varied risks that are already prevailing due to the obesity. The Alzheimer’s disease has been particularly evident in the obese middle aged persons who are also additionally at risk for developing other mental complications too. However though this being the truth the evaluators of the fact are yet to derive a definitive answer to this problem. Though they suspect that the elevated blood pressure, cholesterol which can be referred to as some of the common obesity woes may have a significant link with this problem, so at present all the leading health care personnel are laying emphasis on a healthy and balanced diet, exercise and staying mentally active, reading and doing crossword puzzles to help such persons from evading the risks of the said complication.

It seems that people have turned a blind eye to this ever increasing obesity problem, as the number of gyms or health clubs are increasing the obese persons in relation to this is increasing in leaps and bounds. Most of them would take the excuse of overburden of official work that compels them to lead a sedentary lifestyle but then this is dumb! They find ample time to binge in restaurants or to spend hours sitting in front of the TV but will refrain themselves from exercising. I think that it is about time that we realised the associated dangers of obesity before it gets too late.

I’ve read somewhere that there is a possible link between the obesity and the Alzheimer disease. The connection is that due to excess body fat vessels supplying blood to the brain become weak and it’s kind of trigger for the Alzheimer disease but it’s just a possibility nothing has been proven yet

Unfortunately it is a true fact that obesity and alzheimer are related. I did a little research on the topic and found that People who are overweight or obese in their 40s have a greater risk of developing Alzheimer's disease later in life. The implication is that keeping a healthy weight in middle age is linked to good outcomes in old age.

Yeah that is a very sad thing. The info date as far as 2003. Some psychologist I think did the research and found the connection. But what the media did not emphasize is that there are some researchers who do not agree on the methods used in the experiment because of the samples and such. So there is still hope

It is true that researchers found a link between alzheimer and obesity but it is also true that there is a problem about this finding. There is division among the researchers about the findings. Some say that the research was not conducted appropriately but none the less it is still a risk factor until research disproves it

It's now a fact that overweight people can easily get the disease. It is sad but if none of us want to have it we better be losing weight fast and then maintin our weight in order to get out of the danger zone. The risk of getting alzheimer then will be lower.
