Default Nutrition and Cancer

There is a deep rooted relationship between Nutrition and Cancer....
1]A protein in soybeans, was found to arrest tumor growth.
2]It was seen that Vitamin D ,cereal fiber, exercise and calcium intake, decreased colorectal cancer risk while alcohol, smoking, and red meat eating increased colon cancer risk.
3]Women eating mostly vegetables and legumes and having the highest intake of fiber have 1/2 the risk of breast cancer compared with those women who ate a small amount of these food.
4]Being exposed to bright lights at nighttime diminishes melatonin production with a concomitant rise in estrogen, has a higer risk of developing breast cancer.
5]When meat is cooked by roasting, frying, broiling, or barbecuing it leads to cancer causing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic amines .
6]It is seen that those women with a good diet intake of vitamin D and women who live in regions of high sun exposure have a lower breast cancer risk .
7]People eating a lot of raw or cooked garlic are associated with a 31 % lower risk of colorectal cancer and a 47 % lower risk of stomach cancer .
8]the risk of breast cancer is increased with excess body weight and drinking alcohol as also high fatty diet, low intakes of fruit and vegetables.
9]Those men taking daily calcium supplements increased their risk of prostate cancer 3 fold.

10]To lower one's risk of colorectal cancer , formula is avoiding excess weight, increasing physical activity, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables and less meat .

I agree with the vitamin D analysis..
It has been found in tests that vitamin D inhibits the growth of breast cancer cells. 10 to 20 minutes of sun exposure on the arms and face thrice a week is enough to manufacture enough vitamin D for one's needs.
Also, vitamin D production decreases with age. So, it is seen that cereals, dairy products like milk cheese, and soy beverages provide a good dietary source of the vitamin D.

Yes the vitamins are indeed proving to be a useful way to combat the cancer. I am aware of a study report which concluded after testing vitamin supplements on patients that it can successfully delay the progression of the cancerous cells. The supplement was actually known to be rich in vitamin A and in addition also had antioxidant properties. On the tests it was evident that these vitamin supplements was very beneficial for those suffering with the prostate cancer. So it is always wise to include a lot of vitamins in the daily diet to evade the risk of cancer.
